About Age Active

Physical activity is widely accepted as being beneficial to health & well-being. However only 37% of men and 25% of women in the UK currently achieve the levels of physical activity recommended by the Department of Health (DH) and levels have declined in recent years as people’s lives have become more sedentary.

Age Active Limited provide enjoyable, tailor-made exercise sessions for the over 50’s. With over 15 years of experience in developing fitness programmes, we deliver fun and active activities to suit group and individual needs.

We have a variety of programmes which give opportunities to all individuals for physiological, psychological and social stimulation. We take into account individual abilities and preferences to ensure each individual has an active and well organised social life. Our activities vary according to the individual and we offer extensive support and assistance to those that need it. Our programmes are designed to promote a healthy balanced lifestyle so everyone enjoys life more and hopefully life longer.

Physical activity can impact positively upon our body, mind and spirit thus improving our quality of life, bringing physical, mental and social benefits.

To date we have delivered over 5000 sessions to over 40 care homes, we have worked with over 20 individuals delivering a variety of rehabilitation programmes and have performed our shows to over 500 residents.
