Resident profile – new monthly feature
Each month we will be publishing the profile of one of our residents. This is a new feature which will include a number of interesting facts about each individual we interview.
First up is Barbara from Dutton Court who is 85 and has been an active person from a very young age. She has always been involved in church activities and was a captain of the Girl Guides for over 40 years. After retiring as a pharmacist she continues to socialise with her church friends by regularly participating in walks, eating out and reading. Since attending the Age Active sessions she has noticed a huge improvement in her shoulder movement and flexibility. Barbara is fully aware of the importance on exercising, she states “if your not careful you can lose your movement very quickly, the fact I’m at Dutton Court also helps with me keeping active”.
She enjoys the social aspects of the Age Active session and she also likes the instructor!!
Thanks for the interview Barbara and we are glad you enjoy coming to our sessions.
